As much as 90% percent of the UK workforce have been affected by mental health challenges, with two thirds reported having personally experienced mental health challenges according to Accenture.
Yet despite more people sharing their view and opinions on mental health, businesses, social services and care providers are falling short and need to do more to support people in need.
To enhance this research, Versiti decided to conduct its own study on the attitudes towards mental health, and in particular, depression. Combining an online research community with a purposive sample of 42 UK adults and implicit association tests with a representative sample of 1,000 UK adults, the study reveals troubling implicit attitudes towards depression and people living with mental illness.
